In the era of Digital Technology and online learning, the concept of “Digital Journal of Clinical Medicine” is being introduced in order to help medical students learn in a better and more holistic manner. With smartphones and online learning gaining a significant role in every students life, it would only make sense to incorporate something that would be educative for them in a short span of time. The new MBBS curriculum which involves Core Competency Cases in all subjects will be the major focus of this journal.
It will be an open source digital bank of clinical case scenarios arranged system wise that will be useful for all undergraduates and Clinicians at large. It would be a student based initiative with student representations from all terms and Interns playing the role of Student editors. Faculty from various Departments will play the role of mentors and Senior Editors. It will be a peer- reviewed journal with external reviewers as well.
The journal will have following sections:
- Webside Clinics ( Clinical Case Scenarios ) – The cases will be in the form of nuggets (History, Findings, Investigation, Diagnosis, Treatment, Discussion)
- Academic snippets
- Updates and Guidelines
Webside clinics ( Clinical Case Scenarios ) will have images, videos and audios incorporated that will give a multimedia learning experience to the students. The cases will be categorized and arranged system wise for easy search.
Author Guidelines will be displayed on the website for uniformity and standardization of cases.
Signed Author Declaration form will have to be submitted by the corresponding author before final acceptance.
Certificate of Publication will be awarded to authors of all published articles. Anybody interested can contribute the cases, which will be accepted based on the Journal policies
JSS AHER IT Department lead by CIO will support in design, development and all technical aspects of publication of the journal.
